SBI Special Fixed Deposit Scheme Platinum Deposit is a limited tenor offer and will end on September 14, the lender mentioned on its website.


To mark the occasion of celebrating 75 years of independence, the country’s top lender State Bank of India (SBI) had launched a special deposit scheme called SBI Platinum Deposit. This is a limited period offer and will end on September 14, which is mentioned by the lender on its website.

SBI Platinum Deposit Interest Rate for General Customers

Platinum 75 days – 3.95 per cent
Platinum 525 days – 5.10 per cent
Platinum 2250 days – 5.55 per cent

SBI Platinum Deposit Interest Rates Senior Citizen

Platinum 75 days – 4.45 per cent
Platinum 525 days -5.60 per cent
Platinum 2250 days – 6.20 per cent

SBI Platinum Deposit Eligibility

Domestic Retail Term Deposits including NRE and NRO Fixed Deposits (less than Rs.2 crore)
New and renewable deposit
Term deposit and special term deposit products only.
NRE deposit (only for 525 days and 2250 days)

SBI Platinum Deposit Interest Payment

Term Deposit – At monthly/quarterly intervals
Space Term Deposit – On Maturity
Interest, excluding TDS, credited to customer’s account

SBI FD Current Interest Rates
SBI is giving interest ranging from 2.9 per cent to 5.4 per cent on FDs between 7 days to 10 years to general customers. Senior citizens will get 0.50% additional interest on these deposits.


SBI’s Special FD for
Senior Citizens SBI’s special FD scheme for Senior Citizens – We Care – offers an additional 0.30 per cent interest rate to senior citizens on their FDs for tenures of 5 years and above. If a senior citizen makes a fixed deposit under the special FD scheme, then the interest rate applicable on the FD will be 6.20 percent.
