According to the new instructions, now the weight of the children’s school bag should not exceed 15 percent of the child’s own weight.

The weight of the bag for class 1-2 children should be 1.5 to 2 kg and the weight of the bag for class 3-5 children should be 2 to 3 kg. The same should be 3 to 4 kg for class 6 to 8 and 4 to 5 kg for class 9 to 10. Apart from this, schools should celebrate ‘No Bag Day’ once a week, it can be celebrated on a Saturday.
