School Closed: After the holiday of 24 January, 25 January is the declared holiday of Hazrat Ali’s birthday. For this reason, after remaining closed till 28th, schools will now open only on 29th January.

Amidst this cold winter, there is some relief news for school children. Due to cold wave on January 24, holiday has been declared in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, schools will now remain closed till January 28.
Due to cold, cold wave and fog in Prayagraj, all the schools in the district up to class eight are closed. In Etah and Rae Bareli also, the District Magistrate has declared holiday in schools up to class VIII. Although this holiday is only for children, teachers will have to be present. After the holiday of 24 January, 25 January is the declared holiday of Hazrat Ali’s birthday. For this reason, after remaining closed till 28th, schools will now open only on 29th January. However, the order states that schools will open for flag hoisting on January 26 on the occasion of Republic Day.
In Prayagraj, orders have been issued for all government, non-government and recognized schools from class 1 to 8 to remain closed. Schools of all boards including CBSE board, ICSE board and council boards will remain closed till January 28.
Holiday has also been declared on January 24 in Etah and Rae Bareli. However, teachers will have to come to school. On the other hand, the District Magistrate of Lucknow has also declared holiday in all the schools of the district. The District Magistrate says that despite the holidays, online classes should be taken so that children’s education is not affected.
The entire Uttar Pradesh is in the grip of severe cold. In such a situation, school holidays are being considered in other districts of the state also. Holidays have been declared several times in Noida, Ghaziabad and other districts of Uttar Pradesh adjoining Delhi due to cold. Looking at the way winter is showing its colours, it can be clearly said that these holidays may extend even after January 28.
