In many states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, the temperature is being recorded less than 10 degrees (School Holiday). Apart from this, visibility also remains zero due to dense fog in the morning. The Meteorological Department has issued red alert in many states. Keeping all these things in mind, schools have been closed for the next few days.
School Closed in Delhi: When will schools open in Delhi?
It is extremely cold in Delhi these days. There is no possibility of any relief in the weather at present. But according to the order till now, all the schools of Delhi will remain closed till January 6 only. This means that children will have to go to school from January 08, 2024. Winter vacation in Delhi has been divided into two parts. In November, schools were closed for 9 days due to pollution break.
UP Winter Vacation: When will schools open in Uttar Pradesh?
Cold wave and fog are also being seen in Uttar Pradesh. Keeping this in mind, the Yogi government of UP has ordered to keep schools closed from 31 December 2023 to 14 January 2024 (School Closed in UP). In some districts of UP, DMs are also taking decisions on their own basis to keep schools closed or change the timings of schools.
School Closed in Rajasthan: When will schools open in Rajasthan?
In view of the winter season in Rajasthan, school holidays had started from 25 December 2023. According to the orders so far, the school is expected to open from tomorrow i.e. January 06, 2024. However, considering the current weather condition, winter vacation can be extended further. At the same time, schools in Haryana adjacent to Delhi-NCR will remain closed till January 15, 2024.
School Closed in Jammu Kashmir: When will schools open in Jammu Kashmir?
By looking at the cold conditions in the plains, the weather in the hilly areas can be estimated (JK Winter Vacation). Directorate of School Education Jammu has ordered to keep schools up to class 8th closed from 11 December 2023 to 29 February 2024. Whereas, classes from class 9th to 12th will get holiday from December 18, 2023 to February 29, 2024.
