School Closed: In view of the cold wave and fog, school holidays in these districts have been extended. On January 14, the DM issued a letter ordering leave.
With the arrival of the festival of Makar Sankranti, severe cold has started in Uttar Pradesh. The wind blowing amidst the cold wave is making people shiver. The temperature has gone down to minimum 5 in many districts. Even the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert regarding winter. In such a situation, in view of winter and cold wave, school holidays in many districts of UP have been extended. On the instructions of the DM, the district school inspectors have issued a letter ordering the closure of the school.
Lucknow DM Surya Pal Gangwar, in view of the cold wave and cold, ordered that all government, non-government, private schools up to class 8 will remain closed till January 16. Whereas schools from 9th to 12th should be run through online medium. Also, the timings of the schools where classes are being conducted should be kept between 10 am to 3 pm only. Here, in view of the severe cold in Moradabad and Rampur, now the school holidays of all the boards from class one to eighth have been extended till January 20. Earlier there was holiday till 15th January only. However, schools will open from class nine. On the instructions of DM, District School Inspector Arun Dubey has issued a letter to all the schools.
He said that there will be holiday till January 20 in all the educational institutions of the district run by UP Board, CBSE, ICSE, Secondary and Sanskrit Education Council from class one to eighth. Above this, all classes will continue to operate. On the above dates, all teachers and non-teaching staff will be present in the school as per the pre-determined time.
17 schools will remain closed in Kanpur, Sambhal, Lakhimpur, Firozabad and 20 in Agra.
In view of the severe cold and fog in the four districts of Sambhal, Kanpur, Firozabad and Lakhimpur Kheri, orders have been given to close all board schools till January 17. Let us tell you that schools up to 12th will remain closed in Lakhimpur. Whereas in other places only schools up to 8th have been ordered to remain closed. On the other hand, Agra DM has also extended the vacation of class five till January 20.
Schools will remain closed till 16 in Balrampur, Mainpuri, Bareilly
Due to extreme cold and cold wave in Balrampur, Mainpuri and Bareilly, the District Magistrate has directed to keep all the classes from class one to eight closed on January 15 and 16. DM has said that the health of children is being affected due to cold, hence the decision has been taken to take leave. Apart from the students, the school management will take decisions at its own level regarding the leave of the staff and teachers working in the schools. At present, no child from classes 1 to 8 will go to school till January 16. During this period, if any private school operator opens a school and children go there, strict action will be taken against him. Apart from this, school holidays have also been extended till January 18 in Bahraich and Amroha.
