This calendar has complete information about study days, holidays, exam dates and school timings.
When will there be summer vacation in Odisha
Summer holidays will be from 6 May to 19 June 2025. During this time schools will be completely closed. School timings will be from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on normal days. On Saturdays, classes will run only from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm. Teachers’ presence will be mandatory from 10 am to 4 pm.
The total number of working days will be 231, while there will be 82 holidays in the whole year, out of which 52 are Sundays.

- Summer holidays: 6 May to 19 June 2025
- Puja holidays: 29 September to 7 October 2025
- Christmas holidays: 23 December to 31 December 2025
- Every Sunday holiday (total 52 Sundays)
There will also be holidays on other major festivals and national holidays, such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Deepawali, Holi etc. And their dates will be decided separately as per the instructions of the government.

First semester exam: Fourth week of July 2025

Revision week: Second week of February 2026
Class 10 annual exam: Last week of February 2026
Class 9 exam: Second week of March 2026
The education department has instructed all school authorities to work according to this calendar. Students and parents have been advised to keep in touch with their respective schools so that they can stay updated with any changes or new information.
