School Holidays Update: Due to cold wave and fog, academic work will remain suspended in schools up to class VIII in Agra on Monday as well. Schools from class IX to XII, where board practical and pre-board examinations along with internal assessment are being conducted, can be operated. District School Inspector Chandshekhar said that on the instructions of DM Arvind Mallappa Bangari, in view of the cold and cold wave, academic work will remain suspended on January 13 in all government, aided and unaided secondary schools of the district including all board-recognized secondary schools from class nursery to VIII.
Schools from class IX to XII, where internal assessment is being done along with board practical and pre-board examinations, can be conducted. Where the above mentioned works will not be done, their academic work will also remain suspended. The above mentioned order will not apply to Kendriya Vidyalaya and Residential School. In this situation, online classes should be conducted as far as possible.
The order has to be followed
District School Inspector Chandrashekhar said that the teachers will work as per the instructions of the school management. The principals of the schools will ensure that the registration work is completed on time under the discussion on examination. The order will be strictly followed, otherwise strict action will be taken.
It may rain again on January 15
The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy weather with light rain on January 15 for Agra. Rain started in the city from 6:30 pm on Saturday. It rained intermittently till late night. Life was affected due to rain. Melting had increased. Melting was more on Sunday morning as well. There was fog and the sun did not come out. The sun came out around 12 noon, but soon the sun hid behind the clouds.
Drop in temperature, chances of light rain
Due to the drop in maximum temperature, it was cold even in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 18.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 11.8 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was 2.5 degrees Celsius less than the normal temperature and the minimum temperature was 4.4 degrees Celsius more. On Saturday, the maximum temperature was 19.4 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 9.2 degrees Celsius. Seven mm of rain was recorded in the city on Saturday night.
Meteorologist Mohammad Danish said that there may be a drop in the minimum temperature along with dense fog on Monday. There is a possibility of fog in the morning on Tuesday and sunshine in the afternoon. There may be light rain with cloudy weather on the 15th. This change in weather is happening due to western disturbance.
