School Holidays, School Winter Vacation 2025: Most of the schools in the capital Delhi have been opened from 9 January 2025. But in view of the severe cold and dense fog, the Delhi government has ordered the schools to remain closed till January 15.
School Holidays, School Winter Vacation Extended: The capital Delhi has been experiencing severe cold for the last few days. In view of the fog and cold wave, the winter holidays in the schools of the capital Delhi have been extended. Schools will remain closed in Delhi till January 15. The Delhi government has declared winter holidays in all government schools from 1 to 15 January 2025. Regular classes will now start in the capital Delhi on 16 January 2025. Winter holidays have also been extended in schools in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Chandigarh adjoining Delhi.
Schools closed in UP till January 14
The District School Inspector (DIOS) in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh has ordered that all schools up to class 8 will remain closed between January 6 and January 11, 2025. Whereas in Noida, schools up to class 8th will remain closed till further orders. At the same time, Agra and Mathura District Magistrate have ordered to keep schools from class 1 to 8 closed till January 14, 2025. At the same time, schools up to class 8th in the capital Lucknow will remain closed till January 11, 2025. While online classes will be conducted for students from class 9th to 12th.
Haryana schools closed till January 15
All private and government schools in Haryana will remain closed from January 1 to January 15, 2025. Schools will resume with regular classes from January 16, 2025. At the same time, the Himachal Pradesh government has announced winter holidays for schools from January 1 to February 11, 2025.
Closed in Jharkhand till January 12
In view of the cold in Jharkhand, the state government has declared holidays for both government and private schools from January 7 to January 11, 2025. So that children can be saved from the weather.
Schools closed in this state till 28 February
Winter holidays are in force in Jammu and Kashmir from December 10. Winter holidays have been declared from December 10, 2024 to February 28, 2025 for classes up to 5th in the state. However, students from class 6 to 12th have been given winter holidays from December 16, 2024 to February 28, 2025.
Sankranti holidays declared
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) has declared Sankranti holidays from January 11 to January 16, 2025 for intermediate students, while colleges will reopen on January 17, 2025.
