Winter School Holidays Update: School holidays have been extended in various districts of Rajasthan due to cold. Schools will open on January 13 in 11 districts, on January 10 in 7 districts, and on January 9 in 7 districts. The District Magistrates have taken this decision as per the weather forecast.
School Holidays: Due to the outbreak of cold in Rajasthan, the district administration has announced different dates in different districts regarding the holidays of school children. In view of the severe cold, school holidays have been extended in many districts.
Schools will open on January 13
District Collectors in 11 districts of Rajasthan have declared holidays in schools till January 11. These districts include Alwar, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Kotputli-Baharod, Sawai Madhopur, Bikaner, Khairthal-Tijara, Jhunjhunu, Jhalawar, Nagaur and Churu. Since January 12 is Sunday, schools in these districts will now open from January 13.
Schools will open here on January 10
School holidays in seven districts have been extended till January 9. These districts include Kota, Deeg, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Baran, Dausa and Chittorgarh. Schools in these districts will now reopen from January 10.
Schools will open on Thursday, January 9
Holidays were declared till January 8 in seven districts including Jaipur. Schools in these districts will resume from Thursday, January 9. These districts include Karauli, Bhilwara, Kuchaman-Didwana, Beawar, Ajmer and Tonk. These decisions taken by the administration in different districts of the state have tried to provide relief to children in winter. The District Magistrates have taken this decision keeping in mind the weather forecast.
Weather update recorded in Rajasthan
On Wednesday, January 8, the weather in the state remained mainly dry. Cold wave was recorded at some places in the state. The highest maximum temperature was recorded at Jawai Dam (Pali) at 24.6 °C and the lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Fatehpur Sikar at 1.1 °C.
