School Winter Holiday 2025: There is a relief news for school students. In view of the severe cold, cold wave and dense fog, District Magistrate Arvind Mallappa Bangari has extended the holiday of schools up to class VIII for two days. Now CBSE, ICSE, secondary and all government and private schools will open on January 20.

CBSE, ICSE, secondary and all government and private schools will have a holiday on January 18. January 19 is Sunday. In such a situation, schools will now open on January 20. Along with this, it has been said that schools will be able to conduct online classes as per their convenience. At the same time, teachers will be able to work as per the instructions of the school management.
Holiday on 18th in schools up to class VIII
In view of the possibility of cold wave, the District Magistrate has declared a holiday till January 18 for schools up to class VIII of all boards. District Basic Education Officer Jitendra Kumar God said that according to the order, all government, government aided, unaided, recognized secondary schools, CBSE, ICSE board schools will remain closed on January 18. January 19 is Sunday. In such a situation, schools will now open on January 20. The school management will have to inform the parents about the holiday at their own level. If the school is found to be operating during this period, strict action will be taken.
Fog may increase due to cold wind
The mood of the weather is constantly changing. After two days of rain, there was dense fog on Friday morning, but the sun also shone in the afternoon. But the cold wind increased the cold. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of fog in the morning in the next few days. There may be some increase in temperature. Fog remained till 9 am on Friday. Later, there was some relief due to the sun coming out, although the cold wind kept bothering.

The reason for the cold wind is being told to be snowfall in the mountains. On Friday, the maximum temperature was 17.3 degrees Celsius, which is 4.3 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.1 degrees Celsius, a drop of 0.3 degrees. The Meteorological Department has also recorded 2.2 millilitres of rain in the last 24 hours.
