This decision has been taken by the Education Department in view of the increasing heat. The Education Department has issued guidelines for the students in view of the heat. In which it has been said that the timing of middle and management schools will be in the morning session. In the morning session, the timing of primary schools will be from 7 am to 11:15 am and the timing of secondary schools will be from 7 am to 11:45 am. Let us tell you that this order is applicable to all the schools in the state, whether they are privately run or government. All schools are now ordered to run the classes of children only on the new timing fixed.
Mercury reached 40 degree Celsius in Vidarbha and Kalyan Rural
This decision has been taken in the interest of children in view of the rising temperature in Vidarbha and Kalyan Rural of Maharashtra. The temperature here is reaching 40 degree Celsius in the afternoon. A representative of the School Education Department said that low attendance of children has been observed in the afternoon in these areas along with Thane Rural and Pune. Therefore, the government has decided to change the school timings in Maharashtra.
These measures have been taken to protect students from heat
Guidelines have also been issued to reduce the impact of heat wave on students. Where schools will be run under the new schedule. On Friday, the School Education Department of Maharashtra also issued a guideline with measures for the school administration to reduce the impact of heat waves on the health of students. Which said that some suggestions include prohibiting outdoor or physical activities of school children, not taking classes in open areas, keeping fans on in classrooms and providing cold water to students.
These challenges arose regarding the new timing
Schools are facing challenges in adapting to the new order. Schools running on a ‘two-session’ basis may find it difficult to implement the new order. A trustee of one such school expressed disappointment and said that due to lack of space, most schools have to hold classes in two sessions. They have not been given any guidelines from the government on how to deal with this. Parents are also victims of these changes, as they have to change their children’s commuting schedule according to the new timetable.
