Education Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar said that now schools in the state will run from 7 am to 12 noon. This rule will be applicable to all schools, both private and government.
Various teacher organizations and parent associations including Haryana Primary Teacher Association were demanding change of school timings in view of the rising heat. Taking action on this, Education Minister Kanwarpal announced the change of school timings on Monday. Soon after, the Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Mahavir Singh issued orders to change the school timings.

All District Education Officers and Elementary Education Officers have been asked to strictly follow the orders.
