Schools Closed Due To Hot Weather: Heatwave alert has been issued in many parts of the country. The mercury is increasing day by day. In view of these circumstances, schools and colleges have been closed at many places, while the timings of schools have been changed at many places. The mercury is expected to reach 45 degrees and the weather is expected to remain the same till April 23. From UP to Bihar and Jharkhand, the timing of schools has been changed. Schools closed in West Bengal
West Bengal is the first state to close schools and colleges to avoid the heat. Schools and colleges were closed here for a week from 17 to 22 April. Along with this, the summer vacation which was earlier to start from May 24 has been preponed to May 2. Schools have also been closed in Tripura.
Jharkhand changed school timing
Seeing the summer condition, Jharkhand has changed the timing of schools. Issuing the notice, it has been said that schools up to class 5 will run from 7 to 11 am and schools from class 6 to 12 will run till 12 noon. Mid day meal will be distributed as before.
Similarly, the timing of schools in Patna has also been increased till 10.45. This rule will be applicable from today i.e. 19th April and will continue like this for the next few days. First the timing was 7 to 1, then 6.30 to 11.30, which has now reached 10.45.
Rule applicable in UP as well
In Uttar Pradesh too, changes have been made in the timing of schools in view of the scorching heat. Here schools will be held from 7 to 12 o’clock only. This rule has come for the children of class 1 to 8. In Odisha too, the timing team of schools has been given. Here instructions have been given to open the school from 7.15 to 11 am. At present, schools were closed in Odisha on 19 and 20 April. Schools have not been closed in Delhi but guidelines have been issued to avoid the heat.
