Lucknow, JNN. Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan: The industrial development department of Uttar Pradesh, which is looking at the possibility of industries coming back on track with the special economic package of the central government, has also stepped up to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s self-reliant India campaign. At the same time, on the lines of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, UP Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana has also announced that his Industry Department will now use only indigenous items.
Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana told reporters in his Vidhan Bhavan office on Thursday that the historic relief package that the Center has given in this transition period of Corona will greatly help in the operation of industries and attract new investment. He also thanked Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur.
Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana said that the government is considering several decisions to give relief to industries. For example, SGST is now reimbursed to investors. Since the GST rate on different items is different, the reimbursement is not the same even if the investment amount is the same. In such a situation, the idea is to fix capital subsidy instead of GST refund, which can be given in a phased manner.
