Mumbai, October 29 (IANS) The domestic stock market opened on Friday. The Sensex rose over 150 points in early trade and the Nifty also gained more than 50 points. The Sensex gained 169.52 points, or 0.43 per cent, to 39,919.37, while the Nifty was trading 51.1 points or 0.44 per cent higher at 11,721.90 compared to the previous session.

The 30-share Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) -based major sensitive index Sensex opened higher at 39,779.82 and rose to 39,919.48 from the previous session. The Sensex had closed at 39,749.85 in the previous session. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) based 50-share Nifty, the major sensitive index, also opened higher at 11,678.45 from the previous session and rose to 11,727.10 while the Nifty closed at 11,670.80 in the previous session.
