The month of September brought many big changes, while this month has started with deadlines to complete many important tasks.

The last date of five such important tasks is going to end this month, which is important for you to complete. These include linking Aadhaar-PAN card with Small Saving Schemes, updating your Aadhaar Card for free, return of Rs 2000 notes that have been taken out of circulation and other works. Let us know about them in detail.

first important task

Aadhaar Card Free Update: Aadhaar Card has become the most important document in today’s time. While it reflects your identity, it is demanded everywhere from buying land, opening a bank account, taking admission in school-college. If you want to take benefit of any government scheme, then this is required. UIDAI has started the facility of free Aadhaar updating for crores of users of the country, but only a few days are left to avail its benefits.

Earlier this free service was for 14 June 2023, but then it was extended by three months to 14 September. In such a situation, if you also want to update Aadhaar without any fee, then you have the last chance, after September 14, you will have to pay the fee to do this work. Those users who have had Aadhaar for more than 10 years and have not updated their Aadhaar details, can update their address, mobile number and other details for free till this deadline.

other important work

PAN-Aadhaar link to Small Savings Scheme: The Finance Ministry has made it mandatory to link the accounts of existing customers of Small Savings Scheme (SSS) with Aadhaar and PAN before 30 September 2023.

Small savings account holders in post office or bank should get their PAN and Aadhaar linked with these schemes as soon as possible without waiting for the last date. If the link is not done by the stipulated deadline, then by 1st October The account may be suspended or frozen in 2023. It is necessary to do this work in other schemes including PPF, National Savings Certificate (NSC).

third important task

Changing Rs 2,000 notes: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had decided to remove Rs 2,000 notes, the largest currency in the country, from circulation on May 19, 2023. Along with this, people were given the facility to return these notes to the banks. If you also have these pink notes and have not returned them yet, then you still have time this month to do this work.

Actually, according to RBI, the last date for depositing or exchanging Rs 2000 notes has been set as 30 September 2023. Here it is important to keep in mind that there are total 16 days of bank holidays in the month of September and the process of withdrawal of Rs 2000 notes will also be disrupted on these holidays. In such a situation, you should complete this work without any delay, lest these pink notes kept with you turn into trash after the deadline is over.

fourth important task

Demat Account Nomination: Market regulator SEBI has fixed 30 September 2023 as the last date for making nomination for trading and demat account holders. This means that now only 25 days are left to complete this work. If the demat account holder does not complete this nomination process before the prescribed deadline, then in such a situation his account can be frozen.

fifth important task

We Care Deposit Scheme: Talking about the last important work to be done in September 2023, then let us tell you that the ‘We Care Deposit’ scheme of State Bank of India (SBI) will be launched this month i.e. on 30 September 2023.

It is coming to an end. In this scheme, additional interest of 50 basis points is offered on deposits (FD) of tenure of 5 years or more. This scheme is only till 30th September, so to avail its benefits you will have to invest before the deadline ends.
