There will be no trading in the stock market on October 2 (Wednesday). Both Indian stock exchanges, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on October 2 to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary.
The market will open on October 3
According to the Bombay Stock Exchange website, trading in equity, equity derivatives, currency, SLB, commodity and electronic gold receipts (EGR) segments will be closed on October 2. Now the regular session in the stock market will start on October 3 and investors will be allowed to trade. Apart from October 2, there is no other holiday in the month of October.

Market closed in November too?
November 1 is the auspicious festival of Diwali. The stock market is not completely closed on this day, but there is no trading like on normal days. China and Hong Kong markets closed
