NEW DELHI: The BSE Power index was down in Wednesday’s morning session.
Shares of Adani TransmissionNSE 1.27 % (up 2.35 per cent) , Torrent PowerNSE 0.76 % (up 0.80 per cent) , Adani Power (up 0.75 per cent) and NHPC (up 0.64 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
While Reliance Infrastructure (down 4.86 per cent ) , Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.62 per cent ) , Siemens (down 1.37 per cent ) and Tata Power Company (down 0.63 per cent ) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE Power index was trading 0.21 per cent down at 1929.18 around 11:06 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 84.60 points at 12024.7 , while the BSE Sensex was up 309.89 points at 40779.59 .
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
