Bhopal The extension of the long pending Shivraj Singh Chauhan cabinet can now be postponed until after the Rajya Sabha elections. According to the sources, the BJP high command does not want to take any risk before the Rajya Sabha elections. The party fears that the expansion of the cabinet will increase dissatisfaction, which may upset the disgruntled leaders. Let us know that on June 19, Madhya Pradesh is to vote for three Rajya Sabha seats. The veteran leaders believe that the date of extension may be fixed around 25 June.



Significantly, after taking oath on March 23, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan administered the oath to five ministers during the cabinet formation. Of these, three were sworn in from the BJP quota and two of the former MLAs who left the Congress along with former Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. According to the strength of the strength in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, a maximum of 35 ministers can be appointed in the cabinet. Currently six positions are filled in the cabinet. The period of political upheaval in Madhya Pradesh has been going on till now.

Two-and-a-half months have passed since the resignation of the previous Kamal Nath government but the Shivraj cabinet is not expanding due to the tussle. Cabinet expansion is being postponed first due to lockdown and then due to high command. According to party sources, now the high command does not want to take any kind of risk before the Rajya Sabha elections, so the date of swearing in the new ministers is also likely to be fixed after the Rajya Sabha vote.



However, earlier, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had clearly stated that the extension would be done before May 31. During this time, Chauhan had also talked about going to Delhi to meet the high command but due to the non-appointment, the first week of June also left. Along with the cabinet, a team of BJP state president Vishnu Dutt Sharma is also to be formed. There is a possibility that the cabinet and the team of the organization be formed simultaneously. Sharma said that the priority of the party is prevention of corona first so the organization is engaged to help the common people.
