Sony has launched its new premium smart TV in India. The A8H Ultra-HD HDR OLED TV has been priced at Rs. 2,79,990 for the 65-inch screen size. The new television comes with company’s Ultra-HD (3840×2160-pixel) OLED display, has support for HDR and offers up to 120Hz refresh rate.

The TV is available now through Sony offline retail stores, major electronics stores, Sony’s online portal shopatsc.com, and Amazon.

The Sony A8H OLED TV price in India has been set at Rs 2,79,990. For now, the company has only launched a 65-inch model of the TV but said that a 55-inch variant can come soon.

The Sony A8H TV has an Ultra-HD (3840×2160-pixel) OLED display. It supports HDR up to the Dolby Vision format. . The TV has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz at Full-HD resolution and 60Hz at 4K. For audio, the TV comes with support for various audio formats up to Dolby Atmos, with sound output using Sony’s Acoustic Surface Audio technology.

The screen of the TV acts as a speaker using four drivers to deliver a combined performance of 30W. This TV also claims to detect objects in the room and reproduces sounds that are optimised as per the settings of your room. The television runs Android TV, with 16GB of internal storage for apps and app data.

Other features include built-in Chromecast, Google Assistant, and Google Play Store for apps. Apple AirPlay 2 is also supported on the Sony A8H. The TV uses Sony’s X1 Ultimate picture processor, along with the company’s Triluminos picture enhancement technology.
