SSY Calculator: How much money you will get on maturity if you invest ₹50,000 every year – see calculation

SSY Calculator: Under this scheme, only the accounts of daughters are opened, whose age should be less than 10 years. In Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY), a minimum of Rs 250 and a maximum of Rs 1,50,000 can be invested annually.

SSY Calculator: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government started Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana in the year 2015 under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign. In this scheme, only the accounts of daughters are opened, in which currently 8.2 percent interest is being given. Let us tell you that the central government keeps changing the interest rates given under this scheme on the basis of need. Here we will know about the maturity amount of investment made in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.

Minimum Rs 250 and maximum Rs 1,50,000 can be invested annually

Under this scheme, only the accounts of daughters are opened, whose age should be less than 10 years. A minimum of Rs 250 and a maximum of Rs 1,50,000 can be invested annually in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY). This account can be opened for a maximum of 2 daughters in a family. But in a family where there are twin girls, more than 2 accounts can be opened in that family.

SSY account matures after 21 years

SSY account matures after 21 years from the date of opening the account. Apart from this, if the daughter has turned 18 years old and she has to be married, then you can close the account. Keep in mind that the account cannot be closed 1 month before and 3 months after the daughter’s marriage.

If you deposit Rs 50,000 every year, how much money will you get on maturity

Suppose your daughter is 1 year old right now and you open an SSY account in her name this year (2024) and deposit Rs 50,000 every year. This account opened in your daughter’s name will mature after 21 years i.e. in 2045. Your total investment in these 21 years will be Rs 7,50,000. When this account matures in 2045, your daughter will get a total of Rs 23,09,193. This also includes interest of Rs 15,59,193.
