Super Senior Citizen FD Interest: After crossing the age of 80, the body starts giving up slowly. If there is a financial crunch in that too, then old age becomes more painful. To provide financial support to the weakening bodies of such elderly people, banks have made a special scheme. Through this, one can make a lot of money even after crossing the age of 80 and can make old age enjoyable by being very rich. Banks have named it Super Senior Fixed Deposit Scheme. Under this, interest rate will be given more than that given to common people and even to elderly people below the age of 80.

What is the interest rate that a super senior citizen will get?

To provide higher fixed deposit returns to senior citizens aged 80 years and above, State Bank, PNB, Indian Bank and RBL Bank have launched the Super Senior Fixed Deposit Scheme. State Bank of India has named this scheme SBI Patron. For this, interest will be given at the rate of 7.60 percent on fixed deposit schemes ranging from two years, less than three years, five years and 10 years. Which is more than the interest rate available on fixed deposits for senior citizens or people aged between 60 to 80 years. Punjab National Bank is giving a return of 8.10 percent to super senior citizens on 400 days fixed deposit.

The process has also been made easier in special schemes

Indian Bank is offering 8.05% interest for 400 days and 7.80% interest for 300 days under the IND SUPER 400 DAYS scheme. Similarly, Union Bank of India offers 0.25% more fixed deposit returns than what is offered to senior citizens. Banks have also simplified the process to provide the benefits of these fixed deposit schemes to super senior citizens.
