The Supreme Court on Wednesday may decide to initiate contempt proceedings against Advocate Prashant Bhushan over some alleged tweets.

On Wednesday, a three-judge bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra has to decide whether to initiate contempt proceedings against Prashant Bhushan.

However, it is not clear yet on which tweet the top court has objected.



Journalist Suchitra Mohanty, who covered the Supreme Court, said that an old case of contempt of court against Prashant Bhushan is already pending, whose hearing has also been fixed on this week.

Justice Arun Mishra will also hear this case which has been going on since 2009.

Biplab Deb apologizes to Jat and Punjabi community

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has apologized to the two communities on Twitter after the controversy over his statements on Jat and Punjabi community.



Biplab Deb has made several tweets about this one after the other. In one of these tweets, while clarifying his statement, he wrote, “In an event organized at Agartala Press Club, I had mentioned the views of some people about my Punjabi and Jat brothers.
