Local actors who were a part of this film say that they could not recognize when they saw Sushant on the set. He was seen as a complete dacoit. His clothes and teeth were matted, looking at him as if he had not bathed for years.
This character was completely opposite to his real life
Anoop Awasthi, who was associated with Saunchiraiya project, says that the film was very different for Sushant as the character was completely opposite to his real life. He came to Dhaulpur 10 days ago to understand the atmosphere of ravines. The film’s schedule was 90 days, so he brought his family with him. His family was his gym and other essentials. He made the hotel room a temporary home.
Wanted to shoot again in Chambal
This was the reason that when there was a shooting schedule in Panihar, Ashutosh Rana and Manoj Bajpayee stayed in the hotel in Gwalior but Sushant Singh used to come from Dhaulpur for the shoot. Shooting started from 6.30 am. He used to get up early and reach the location on time. Anoop said that he liked Chambal a lot and wanted to shoot here again.
Gajak and Laddoo had become crazy
Sushant Singh used to ask Gajak and Laddus from his team many times during the shooting. Both of them liked him very much.
He was a good young actor: Malkhan Singh
Malkhan Singh ‘Dadda’, once a bandit, said that Man Singh was known as ‘Daw’ and I as ‘Dadda’ in the rugged. Madhav Singh was called a master. Whether younger or older, all used to be called by this name. The character in the film was of Man Singh and being called Dadda, which was my name. My objection was not to show it wrong. I also met Sushant in Kanpur and he had my book in his hand. I said that this book is my photo and also my rifle.
Sushant had said that I was given it by Kalyan Mukherjee in Mumbai. Sushant said in a very simple tone that you are a Rajput and I am also a Rajput. Malkhan Singh said that there was objection on this, there was nothing like controversy. Man Singh’s family also filed a petition in the court. They say that I am very sad for the boy to leave. He was a very good actor.
