He said that apart from the medical officer and the victim, writer Khurshid, who filed the report, and radiologists MP Gangwar and BP Gautam have testified on behalf of the prosecution. Khan said that the court has honorably acquitted Swami Chinmayanand without finding him guilty in this case.

What is the whole matter?

A case of sexual exploitation was filed against Swami Chinmayanand, the founder of Mumukshu Ashram, by his disciple in 2011. In the year 2018, the Uttar Pradesh government had sent a letter to the court through the District Magistrate to withdraw this case of sexual exploitation. But the victim had objected and requested the court that she did not want to withdraw the case. Therefore the application for withdrawal of the case was rejected. Also, a bailable warrant was issued against Swami Chinmayanand.

After this, Chinmayanand filed an appeal in the High Court to withdraw the case. When the High Court also rejected his appeal, he approached the Supreme Court, but the apex court also rejected his appeal. Swami Chinmayanand got anticipatory bail on December 19, 2022 in the sexual exploitation case from Allahabad High Court. Since then this matter was pending in the court.
