Swiggy | Do you like street food? Have you ever been away from street food due to the corona virus epidemic? You can now order street food in Swiggy.
The Kovid-19 pandemic had a major impact on public life. Kovid’s impact is particularly high on small and medium-sized industries. Under the influence of Kovid, people stopped looking at the eateries found on the street. As a result, many street vendors have lost their jobs and are in trouble. In view of their problem, the Central Government has come up with an innovative scheme. It has decided to implement the ‘Prime Minister Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Fund’ scheme for street vendors. In addition, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has entered into an agreement with Swiggy, an online food delivery company. Under the agreement, street vendors and customers will be given online access. This will help them grow their businesses. The pilot project will initially be launched in Ahmedabad, Chennai, New Delhi, Indore and Varanasi.
The central government plans to launch in all major cities of the country in the near future. Currently, about 250 vendors will join the pilot project, the ministry said. There will be no difficulty in complying with the Kovid rules through this online procedure. Consumers will have the opportunity to sit at home and enjoy street food. However, street vendors who want to join the project will have to register with their PAN and FSSII details. Swiggy enables street vendors to deliver food with the best hygiene and packaging practices at an affordable price. A memorandum of understanding was signed between US Secretary of State Sanjay Kumar and Swiggy CEO Rahul Botra in a video conference to this effect.
