New Delhi. Online fund delivery company Swiggy has announced the closure of Super Daily service in 5 major cities of the country. Under the Super Daily Service, the company delivers milk, daily essentials and groceries. This service is based on subscription i.e. customers have to take subscription for this service.
The reason behind discontinuing this service is being told that Swiggy is suffering losses. The company says that the company is focusing on keeping costs and losses low during this challenging time. The company is yet to turn profitable.

However, this subscription based service of the company in Bangalore will continue as before. Swiggy co-founder and Super Daily CEO Fani Kishan Edepally has said that a detailed plan has been drawn up to discontinue the service as part of an effort to restructure the business. Whereas in Bangalore, double efforts will be made to increase this service.

Fani Kishan has sent a mail to his employees in this regard. In the mail, he has said that we have now become an essential part of customers’ lives. But it is unfortunate that we are not yet on the path of profit. We are now stopping spending money and time on businesses that are taking us away from the primary goal of setting up our business.
He has said that in order to position ourselves according to the market, it is important that we organize ourselves in such a way that helps us to achieve our goals. Super Daily was started in 2015 by IIT Bombay graduates Shreyas Nagdawane and Puneet Kumar. It was acquired by Swiggy in September 2018.
