TCS is preparing to upskill its employees and double their salaries. At present, more than 6 lakh employees are working in TCS.

However, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has not only continued hiring employees during these challenging times, but is also working towards reducing pay disparity among its employees. Pay disparity between junior and senior employees in a company is quite common. But TCS wants to end this problem.
TCS Chief Human Resource Officer, Milind Lakkad during an interview with Moneycontrol said that the company is preparing to provide an opportunity to upskill its employees and double their salary. He said that the industry is coming out due to the effect of Corona epidemic. That’s why the demand for good talent has increased very fast. To attract talent, companies are offering double or triple salary. Due to which the difference between the salary of the employees has increased.
TCS has more than 6 lakh employees
Not only this, there is a preparation to recruit people from among the employees who have been removed from other startup companies. Apart from this, the company has plans to appoint about 40 thousand trainee employees in the financial year (2023-24). At present, more than 6 lakh employees are working in TCS. Milind Lakkar has said that we do not believe in retrenchment. He said that many companies have to take steps because they hired more people than required. Whereas TCS is cautious in the matter.
Pays full attention to the skills of the employees
When an employee joins TCS, it is the responsibility of the company to make them productive. He also said that many times such a situation comes when the skill available with the employee is less than what we need. In such a situation, we give time to the employee and train him.
TCS’s talent development program Elevate is often in the news. Moneycontrol reports that around 400,000 employees have registered for the program and their experience ranges from 0 to 12 years. Those who manage to clear the high bar assessment, their salary gets doubled immediately. The company is trying to include more employees under its existing program. However, the number of employees who clear this high level program in the first attempt is only 10% annually.
