TCS Hiring: This has been revealed in the recent town hall of TCS Resource Management Group. The company says that despite all efforts, it has been unsuccessful in filling these posts.

TCS Hiring: At present, about 80 thousand posts are vacant in the country’s largest software company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The company wants to fill these posts. But, despite all efforts, it has been unsuccessful in making appointments on these posts. TCS says that it is unable to fill these posts due to skill gap. It is not able to find the youth of the caliber that it wants to employ on these posts.

Skill sets are not matching the needs of the project

TCS Resource Management Group (RMG) Global Operations Head Amar Shetya revealed in the recent town hall that the company needs 80000 engineers. But, due to lack of qualified persons, these posts are lying vacant. The company is trying to fill this gap through contractors. According to the Times of India report, an employee who attended this townhall said that the company says that the skill sets of the employees are not matching the needs of the project. However, TCS refused to say anything on this report at the moment.

All the big companies are postponing the joining of freshers

The big IT companies of the country are currently delaying giving jobs to about 10 thousand freshers. TCS is also included in these. The joining date of these freshers has not been confirmed yet. Freshers who have got jobs in TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Zensar and LTIMindtree are complaining about this. Infosys has informed the freshers through an email that their joining date will be decided according to the needs of the business. If needed, they will be informed 3 to 4 weeks in advance about joining. Infosys had given jobs to about 50 thousand people a year ago. But this time they have selected only 11,900 people from campus.

Number of employees of TCS, Wipro and Infosys decreased

In April, Zensar had asked the people selected from campus to give a test before joining. Companies say that clients of North America and Europe are cautious about IT spending. Due to this, the IT sector is in the grip of slowdown. Its effect is also visible in the quarterly results. At the end of the March quarter, the number of employees of TCS, Wipro and Infosys has decreased by about 64 thousand.
