TCS WFO Policy: The Tata Group IT company has updated its work from office policy for employees. The revised WFO regulations have tightened office attendance requirements.

The Tata Group IT company has updated its work from office policy for employees. The revised WFO regulations have tightened office attendance requirements. Indian employees can mention up to 6 days per quarter as a personal emergency with the option to transfer unused days to the next quarter. This communication from the company cites space constraints by allowing employees to submit up to 30 exceptions in a single entry.

According to the Times of India, network-related issues can be mentioned for 5 entries simultaneously. Exceptional requests will not be processed for automatic rejection within 10 days. On late submitted requests, the note said, “Backdated entries will be allowed only up to two previous dates from the current date and the missing WFO entry category for the current month can be raised up to the 5th of the next month.”

Backend entry ban

The company has banned bulk uploads or backend entries. TCS took the lead among some other Indian IT companies in implementing a five-day office attendance policy. Other companies are currently working on a policy of attending office two or three days a week. The company’s HR head Milind Lakkad hinted at the possibility of discontinuing this policy once stability is achieved.

Urge to promote a positive and happy workplace

Lakkad, while addressing the employees, instructed managers about respectful feedback practices. The message said, “I urge every leader to promote a positive and happy workplace where everyone looks forward to working and collaborating with others.”

After TCS quarterly results, Lakkad informed employees that entry-level employees will get full variable pay, while mid- and senior-level employees will have variable pay linked to business performance.
