Along with this, all its 6.14 lakh employees have been asked to come to office and work. TCS is the first big IT company to take such a step after the Covid pandemic. TCS HR Head Milind Lakkad said that the company believes that working while sitting in the office increases productivity. Therefore, all the employees have been asked to come to the office.
Lakkad said, ‘We believe that they need to come to work so that the new workforce can be integrated with the larger workforce of TCS. This is the only way they will learn, understand and imbibe the values and methodology of TCS. So yes, we are asking people to come all days of the week. TCS’s net profit for the July-September quarter of the current financial year 2023-24 has increased by 8.7 percent on an annual basis to Rs 11,342 crore. TCS had earned a net profit of Rs 10,431 crore in the second quarter of the last financial year. The company said that its operating income increased by 7.9 percent year-on-year to Rs 59,692 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 55,309 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
