Rajesh Gopinathan, CEO of the country’s largest IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has resigned from his post. After his resignation, the company has chosen the name of Keerthivasan as the next CEO and Managing Director.
New Delhi. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the IT service company of Tata Group, is the second most valuable company in the country. Now the command of this company is going to be in new hands. Actually, TCS CEO and MD Rajesh Gopinathan has resigned from his post. After his resignation, in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the company on March 16, K Keerthivasan has been elected as the next CEO and Managing Director.
Keerthivasan is not new to the company, he has been working in this company for more than 34 years. In his long career, he has handled many important responsibilities. Especially in the BFSI segment of TCS, he has played a very important role.
Please tell that Gopinathan was associated with TCS for more than 20 years. The board of TCS has accepted the resignation of Gopinathan. Gopinathan will continue in his post till 15 September. Gopinathan has resigned after a career of 22 years with the company. Rajesh was one of the highest paid CEOs in the country.
He has spent six years as the Managing Director and CEO of the company. Rajesh Gopinathan said in his statement that the journey of 22 years with TCS has been very exciting. He said that the experience of working with N Chandrasekaran has been very pleasant.
Know about K Krithivasan…
K Krithivasan joined the company in TCS in 1989. In his career, he has been responsible for delivery, sales and many top management positions in the company. During his tenure at TCS, K Keerthivasan has held many important responsibilities.
He was earlier working in TCS as the Global Head of Banking and Financial Services. Keerthivasan has been working in the global technology sector for the last 34 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Madras and a master’s degree in industrial and management engineering from IIT Kanpur.
Big role in the company’s earnings
He has played a big role in the company’s earnings from TCS’s BFSI segment. Keerthivasan has handled delivery, customer relationship management, program management and sales at TCS. In a way, Kirtivasan’s entire career so far has been spent in TCS. Kirtivasan has been contributing 35-40% of TCS’s earnings which comes from the BFSI segment.
Before K Kirtivasan, Rajesh Gopinathan was holding the post of CEO of TCS since 2013. Gopinathan was associated with the company for the last 22 years. He did his Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad. Gopinath was associated with TCS since 2001. He had a degree in Electronics Engineering from REC Trichurpalli.
