New Delhi It has been more than three months since the Indian cricket team landed on the ground. Team India, which was away from the cricket field due to Corona virus infection, is not going to play any match till August. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to cancel the tour of Sri Lanka and then Zimbabwe first, in view of the threat of the Kovid-19 epidemic.

The Indian cricket team canceled a short tour of Zimbabwe in August. In such a situation, it is clear that the Indian team will not play any series till August. The decision was expected as Sri Lanka Cricket on Thursday announced that India’s limited overs tour in June-July has been postponed indefinitely.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah said, “The Indian cricket team will not tour Zimbabwe given the current threat of the Kovid-19 epidemic. The three-ODI series was to be played in Zimbabwe from 22 August 2020.” The Indian team has not started training yet and is unlikely to camp before July. Players will take about six weeks to prepare for the matches.
