The meteorological department has forecast heavy rains in Telangana due to the ongoing low pressure in the Bay of Bengal.
It is likely to turn into an air bubble in the Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours. The epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued.
It is likely to travel west-northwest and cross the northern Andhra Pradesh coast as an air bubble on Monday morning or afternoon. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in many parts of Telangana in the next three days.
Adilabad, Komurambhim-Asifabad, Nirmal, Manchiryala, Jagittala, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Karimnagar, Warangal Urban, Warangal Rural, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri, Kottagudem, Khammam and Suryapeta districts are likely to receive heavy rains today.
Heavy to very heavy rains are likely in one or two places in the same district tomorrow, the Met office said. Meanwhile, another low is likely to form in the northern Andaman Sea and its environs on October 14
