Jammu. In Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir, militants attacked a local leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party along with his family at around 9 pm on Wednesday. In this attack, three family members including BJP leader Sheikh Wasim Bari (BJP leader shot dead) were killed. The terrorists carried out this attack (Bandipora) outside their shop near the Bandipora police station. Surprisingly, the eight security personnel his family received at the time of the attack were absent. PM Modi has made inquiries in this matter.
At the same time, Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Dr. Jitendra Singh said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inquired about the heinous murder of Wasim Bari. He also expressed condolences to Wasim’s family.”
According to the information, in an incident near Bandipora police station in Srinagar, the militants started firing indiscriminately outside the shop of Sheikh Wasim Bari. Confirming the incident, the police also said that Bari’s brother Umar Sultan and father Bashir have also been shot and killed. Wasim Bari was also the former president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bandipora district.
It is reported that his father and brother, including Wasim Bari, who lived with eight security personnel, were shot outside his home shop. During the firing on Wasim Bari and his family, no security personnel were present with him. Police have taken into custody all the eight security personnel given to the family in a hurry.

Giving information about the firing incident, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh (J&K DGP Dilbagh Singh) said that Wasim Bari had been the former BJP president of Bandipora district. In view of the danger looming over his family, eight security personnel were given to the families for protection. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

At the same time, BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav said that after knowing about this incident, he is shocked and saddened by this murder. Bari’s father had also been a senior leader. Ram Madhav tweeted and wrote, despite 8 security guards, the incident took place.
Apart from this, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also strongly condemned the attack and tweeted, “This evening the news of the murder of the BJP leader and his father is deeply saddened. My consolation with his family in this sad hour is.”
