Ahmedabad, Shatrughan Sharma. The battle has started in the cooperative dairies of the state to dominate the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, which operates the famous brand Amul in the country and the world. This institution with a turnover of 38550 crores is in the hands of pro-BJP leaders.
The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, which operates Amul, has always been dominated by the cooperative circles, which have a significant presence in Gujarat politics. One and a half dozen well-known milk dairies in the state are involved with which thousands of social leaders, millions of milk distributors and crores of milk producers, cattle rearers and farmers are directly involved. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation GCMMF has 18 milk unions in the state.
