The reason for repeated earthquakes in Rohtak was found, big disclosure of geologists, danger in NCR also

Rohtak, [Arun Sharma]. Geologists have found the cause of frequent earthquakes in Rohtak. He says that the Indo-Australian tectonic plate is constantly hitting earthquakes due to the collision of the Eurasian plate and the activation of the fault line. This threatens the Delhi-NCR region. Geologists are still engaged in research in this regard. Researches are being done. Senior scientists have claimed that there are five fault-ridge lines around Delhi and Haryana. Mahendragarh-Dehradun is currently active. For the last two-three months, the Mathura Fault Line has also received earthquake tremors as far as Greater Noida, Faridabad.

Research by geologists has revealed that there are seven tectonic plates inside the earth. India rests on the Indo-Australian plate. These plates are constantly hitting the Eurasian plate. Due to their collision, the Himalayan region, the Hindukush region is affected, as well as the fault line (fault line) is affected.

Five fault lines are near Delhi-NCR

Senior scientist Dr. JL Gautam claims that there are five fault lines or ridges (embossed area inside the earth) near Delhi, National Capital Region (NCR) and Haryana. The difference in ridge area increases when there is a stir in the joint of the two plates. This is likely to affect the earthquake. On the other hand, fault lines float on the liquid. Fault line also contains cracks. Whenever the plates collide, there is some movement in the fault line floating on the liquid. After a few months, this movement subsides.

Effect in these areas

Four zones of Haryana are affected by the Mahendragarh-Dehradun fault line. The Delhi-Haridwar Ridge Fault Line and the Delhi-Sargoda Fault Line have an impact in Delhi and surrounding areas. Greater Noida, Faridabad and the area of Delhi are affected by this fault line from Mathura fault line. The Gurugram region is affected by the Sona fault line. The Mahendragarh-Dehradun fault line is passing just below Rohtak city. Therefore, the slight movement inside the ground occurs in the form of earthquake.

12 districts of Haryana sensitive

12 districts of Haryana are vulnerable to earthquakes. Districts falling in zone four are considered sensitive. Zone-three is the least affected area, while zone-two has very less chance of earthquake.

Understand Haryana according to such zone

Zone-Two: Sirsa, some area of Fatehabad, some area of Hisar.

Zone-Three: Some areas of Mahendragarh, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Bhiwani, Hisar.

Zone-four: Rohtak, Mahendragarh, Panchkula, Karnal, Ambala, Sonipat, Panipat, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Faridabad, Mewat, Palwal.

The Mahendragarh-Dehradun fault line is currently active. With the Mathura Fault Line becoming active during the two-three months, the areas connected with the Mathura Fault Line of Greater Noida, Delhi and Faridabad are also experiencing earthquake tremors. An accurate prediction or magnitude of an earthquake cannot be predicted.

A major earthquake may hit Delhi

Meanwhile, in a conversation with a website, Dr. Kalchand San, Director of Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehradun, has said that there is a long history of earthquake in Delhi-NCR, located on the interior of Indian plates. There are frequent earthquake tremors in the NCR region, which could cause a major earthquake in Delhi. Experts have warned that after more than 10 earthquake tremors have occurred in a span of one and a half months, major devastation may occur in Delhi-NCR. This is a sign of a major earthquake. Dr. Kalchand San, Head of the Wadia Himalaya Institute of Geology said, “We cannot clearly estimate the time, place and intensity, but believe that there are frequent earthquake tremors in the NCR region here, which in Delhi Can cause a major earthquake. Delhi falls under high seismic zone anyway and the NCR is spread over an area of approximately 573 miles.

Earlier such earthquakes used to come in Jind

The first 4.1 magnitude earthquake was also recorded in Rohtak. Then intensity of 2.4 and 2.8 has been measured. About 13-14 years ago, similar earthquakes used to occur in Jind. Then there was a stir on the Delhi-Sargodha Ridge. In the year 1720, there was a 6.7 magnitude earthquake in this ridge and there was heavy destruction in Delhi and adjoining areas. Now in 300 years this ridge is quiet.

Seismographs are being organized around Rohtak

Permanent seismographs have been installed at Rohtak, Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh on behalf of National Seismological Center, Delhi. Now three temporary seismographs have also been placed around Rohtak on a small scale. So that frequent earthquakes can be recorded.

Delhi-NCR Seismic Zone 4

Prof. of Geophysical Department of Kurukshetra University And Kuwait Total Secretary Dr. Bhagwan Singh said that Delhi-NCR is in Seismic Zone Four. He said that the underground spread of Aravali hills spread from Sohna hills to Delhi Ridge to Haridwar.
