Mumbai The local train called Mumbai’s Lifeline has been started from today for people connected with essential services. Significantly, this service was discontinued a long time ago due to Corona virus lockdown. This service has been started between both the Main and Harbor lines of the Central Railway. According to the information received, it will facilitate about 1.25 lakh people associated with essential services to reach their destination. The first local train from Churchgate to Virar left at 5.30 am on Monday morning.

According to the railway’s tweet, Western Railway has decided that trains will be operated on select routes in Mumbai from Monday itself with terms and conditions. The train has started running from 5:30 am on Monday. These trains will run at 11:30 pm with a gap of 15 minutes.Â
