These are India’s top-5 Chinese smartphone companies, including Xiaomi, have such a percentage market share

New Delhi, Tech Desk. The boycott of Chinese products, especially smartphones, is going on in India due to the border dispute. This is at a time when the Chinese smartphone companies dominate the entire Indian smartphone market. According to the Counterpoint Report, currently four Chinese companies are among India’s top-5 big smartphone companies. Samsung is the only non-Chinese company included in this list. Not a single Indian company is included in the top-5 smartphone list.

Xiaomi – 30 percent market share

According to the first quarter report of 2020, Xiaomi alone has 30% share in the Indian smartphone market. The company is making a place in the Indian smartphone market at a rate of about 20 percent year after year. In the first quarter of 2018, Xiaomi had the highest market share of 30 percent till date. Xiaomi holds a major influence in India’s budget category. Its Redmi line-up is quite popular among Indians. Phones worth less than 20 thousand come in this line-up. The Redmi K20 series has also been very successful in India. At the same time, in the premium segment, the company has launched the Mi10 smartphone. Apart from this, the company has introduced Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition.

Vivo – 17% market share



Vivo is increasing its market share in India market at the rate of 40 percent year after year. In the first quarter of 2020, Vivo occupies 17 percent of the smartphone market. However, Vivo, which held 21% market in the fourth quarter of 2019, reduced its market share to 17% in the first quarter of 2020. Vivo launches the smartphone for 20 to 25 thousand rupees. Vivo is known for its camera and design. Vivo has recently launched Vivo V19 smartphone.

Realme – 14% market share

Realme had entered India through its sub-brand Oppo, but later independently knocked. Its market share is increasing by 119 percent year-on-year. Realme launched the Realme smartphone to compete with Xiaomi. Realme 5i and Realme C3 smartphones are quite popular in India. Realme has recently launched Nazro 10 and Nazro 10A.

Oppo -12% Market Share

Oppo launched the smartphone in India under the BBK Electronics umbrella. In the first quarter of 2020, the company got the cell from Oppo A5, Oppo A5s. At the same time, Oppo A9 has got a good sale in offline sales.



OnePlus – 33 percent

OnePlus accounts for 33 percent of India’s premium smartphone market. In this segment, the company launches smartphones at more than 30 thousand rupees. The company recently launched OnePlus 8 series. Also in mid-range smartphone is going to launch in July.
