Meanwhile, the South Korean tech giant LG has announced that it will launch Ultra Light AR Glass next year i.e. in 2021, which is expected to compete directly with the recently launched Jio Glass. LG’s AR Glass will be quite lightweight ie 79.38 grams. However, Jio Glass has been claimed to be only 75 grams, which would be about 4 grams less than LG Glass. Also, LG Glass will be much lighter than the rest of the AR and VR headsets in the market.
GL Company has partnered with NTT DoCoMo to create LG Glass and is currently in the final stages of discussion about the feature of LG Glass. The two companies have previously partnered with 5G and LTE networking. However, both companies have refused to disclose any information regarding LG Glass at the moment.
