The re-escalating cases of Corona in the capital Delhi may postpone the winter session of Parliament
The re-escalating cases of Corona in the capital Delhi may postpone the winter session of Parliament. In such a situation, to pass three ordinances and dozens of pending bills will have to be done till the budget session. Due to the impact of increased corona in Delhi, the winter session will be merged in the budget session. The final decision on this will be taken in the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee.

Please tell that 40 MPs had corona in the monsoon session. Postponement of sessions would lead to hanging of many bills and ordinances. Pesticide, Surrogacy, Port Authority bills are hanging in Parliament. Personal Data Protection, Dam Safety Bill are also pending.

According to the information received from the sources, the discussion about holding the cold and budget session together is in the preliminary stage and nothing has been decided yet. However, there have been suggestions that an extended session be called for the duration of both sessions. Generally, the winter session of Parliament starts in November and ends in December, while the Budget Session begins in the last week of January. The Budget is laid on the first of February.

Significantly, Corona was also overshadowed by the budget session. In the midst of this epidemic, the monsoon session was held from September 14, which lasted for only eight days. All rescue arrangements were made from Corona for the monsoon session to end on 24 September. There was extensive sanitation work in the Parliament House complex. Officers and employees who came to the premises used to have a corona check.

For the first time in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, the seating arrangement of the members was made keeping in mind the social distancing. However, despite elaborate arrangements made by the authorities in the gone monsoon session, many MPs and parliamentarians were infected with the virus.
