New Delhi, ANI. Indian and Chinese Army officials will hold talks this morning to end the deadlock in Ladakh. Lieutenant General Harinder Singh, as a representative of the Indian Army, will hold talks with Major General Liu Lin, an officer of the Chinese Army. Official sources of the Indian Army have given this information. Maj Gen Liu Lin is the commander of the South Xinjiang Military Area of the People’s Liberation Army.

Who is Harinder Singh
Lieutenant General Harinder Singh is the commander of the 14th Corps based at Leh who will represent the Indian Army in talks with Chinese officials. Nicknamed ‘Fire and Fury Corps’, the 14th Corps is part of the Indian Army’s Northern Command at Udhampur. This command faces the most risky challenges. Lieutenant General Harinder Singh is considered an anti-terrorism expert commander. He took command of the 14th Corps in October last year. He has held several important positions in the Indian Army.

According to reports, Lieutenant General Harinder Singh has also held high positions such as Director General of Military Intelligence (DGMI), Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), and Director General of Operational Logistics and Strategic Movement (DGOLSM). He has also worked in Africa under the United Nations Mission. He has excellent experience in the fight against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. China appointed new commander
Amidst the India-China border dispute, China has appointed a new commander in its Western Theater Command Ground Force. The Chinese Army People’s Liberation Army said on its official website that Lieutenant General Ku Quiling had served in the Eastern Theater Command prior to this deployment. The border with India is monitored by the Western Theater Command of the PLA. The Western Theater Command consists of the Army, Air Force and Rocket Force. It is headed by General Zhao Jongki.
Two new commands of ITBP
Meanwhile, in a significant development, India has activated two commands to the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) to monitor the Line of Actual Control. In an order issued from ITBP headquarters on June 3, it was necessary to activate these two commands immediately. Approval for these commands was given in October last year. One command will be established in Chandigarh and the other command in Guwahati.
