35 to 38 battalions in both command 



Both the command will be headed by an Additional Director General (ADG) level officer. This post will be equivalent to the Lieutenant General of the Army. These two command will have 35 to 38 battalions. They will monitor the 3488 km long India-China border. The leadership of Chandigarh-based Western Command is currently entrusted to IGS Rawat of ITBP. They will hold both positions till new appointment. The Eastern Command leadership at Guwahati will also remain with the officer of the IG level.

Russia has also given a positive signal 

Russia said on Wednesday that constructive relations between India and China are crucial for regional peace and stability. Roman Babushkin, deputy head of the Russian Embassy in India, hoped that the two countries would resolve the standoff at the border in eastern Ladakh through bilateral negotiations. He said that positive developments are expected to maintain a peaceful neighborly relationship between the two great civilizations. Constructive relationships between friends like India and China are very important for stability and sustainable development.

Talks have been held for 10 rounds

Till now, up to 10 rounds of talks have been held between the two armies over the ongoing deadlock in eastern Ladakh. On Tuesday, there was a discussion on this issue between the officers of both the armies, but so far no specific result of any conversation has been revealed. A big initiative has definitely come out from both the armies that both the armies in the area have gone back some distance. However, the conflict has not yet ended. China has deployed five thousand soldiers of its army in the northern Ladakh sector after conducting military exercises in Tibet. In response, the Indian Army has also increased its deployment.

170 times China has tested India’s patience 

China has shown more aggressive attitude in Ladakh this year than before. According to official figures, in the first four months of the year, China has taken 170 provocative actions. Last year, there were 110 such cases in Ladakh throughout the year. At the same time, the Indian Army has also been reacting strongly to the provocative actions of China in the border personal meetings. Earlier in 2017, Indian and Chinese soldiers came face to face in Doklam. This stalemate continued for 73 days. With this, the apprehensions of war between the two nuclear-armed countries had increased. However, this issue was also resolved through negotiations.



That’s why China is worried 

Some of the Chinese military retreats are being taken as a positive initiative just before the crucial meeting on the issue of stalemate. According to defense sources, China will have more responsibility to improve the atmosphere for this meeting of June 6 in order to remove the deadlock as the confrontation increased due to the entry of his soldiers in the area. This meeting of the top level military officers of both countries is proposed in the Chushul area of ​​China. China is believed to have dared to stop the construction of a road connecting Ladakh’s Patrol Point 14 and Daulat Beg Oldi. However, India has refused to stop road construction.
