Yamuna Express-Way Toll Tax: If you use Yamuna Express from Delhi to Agra or Agra to Delhi, then this news is for you. Now traveling on Yamuna Expressway will be more expensive for you than before. Yamuna Authority has announced an increase in toll tax and these new rates will be applicable from September 1. Please tell that the rates of Yamuna Expressway have been increased after 4 years. Earlier in the year 2018, the toll tax was increased. This expressway is 165 km long.
Decision taken in 74th board meeting
This decision was taken in the meeting of Yamuna Development Authority held on Wednesday. From September 1, the fee is also increasing at all those toll plazas, where there was no increase on April 1. A report has also been sought in this regard. Giving information, CEO of Yamuna Development Authority, Dr. Arun Veer Singh said that in the 74th board meeting of the authority, it was decided to increase the toll rates of Yamuna Expressway.
Tax was not increased due to completion of 22 work
The CEO of Yamuna Development Authority, Dr. Arun Veer Singh also told that according to the directions of the court, 22 safety related works were to be done on the expressway. Due to non-completion of these works, Yamuna Authority was not increasing the toll tax. But the expressway management has done all the work on the safety features and 130 crores have been spent on these things. Toll tax was not increasing due to non-completion of work.
Toll tax may increase on other highways as well
Apart from Yamuna Expressway, toll tax on many other national highways may increase from September 1. The rates of toll tax which have been increased will be applicable on commercial vehicles also. Bikes and tractors have been kept separate from this. In the new rates that are applicable from September 1, cars will have to pay an additional 10 paise per km, commercial vehicles 25 paise per km and large commercial vehicles 60-90 paise per km.
