The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had introduced new updates regarding waiting time at the toll booth. According to these rules, if a car is stuck in the toll booth line for more than 10 seconds at the toll plaza, then it should be allowed to go without paying the toll tax.
Along with the waiting time of 10 seconds, it is also important to know about the 100 meter waiting line rule. According to NHAI, the waiting line at any toll plaza should not be more than 100 meters long. If the line is longer than this, then toll tax cannot be taken from the vehicles standing in the line.
