The press agency of the Government of India (PIB) has told the truth of the viral message. Terming these claims as fake, the PIB said that this order has not been issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
New Delhi. A message citing the Union Minister is going viral. It has been said in the message that if a passenger returns from the journey in 12 hours, then he will not have to pay toll tax. The government has shared the truth related to this message from its official Twitter account.
What is said viral message
The viral message says, ‘If you get the slip deducted at the toll plaza, then you are asked whether you will get the slip cut on one side or both. So in such a situation, you have to tell them to give the slip for 12 hours. If you say so, you will not have to pay money.’ In this message, the name of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has been given in the request below.
PIB told the message to be fake
The Press Information Bureau ie PIB, the press agency of the Government of India, has told the truth of this viral message. PIB in its fact check termed these claims as fake. PIB tweeted from its fact check account that a social media post is making a false claim that if you can return within 12 hours during your journey, as per the order of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, then you will get no toll on the return journey. Will not have to pay tax. This order has not been issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
