After Noida Transport Department, now more than 17 lakh challans issued by the traffic police will also be waived. Following the instructions of the state government, action will be taken to waive the challan of vehicles. Till now this order was being applicable on the challans made by the Assistant Divisional Transport Department, but now it will be applicable on the traffic police also.

Traffic police officials said that out of the total challans issued from April 1, 2018 to December 31, 2021, the challan amount of 17 lakh 89 thousand 463 vehicles will be waived off and the challan amount will be reduced to zero. In such a situation, people whose vehicles have been challaned during this period should not deposit them. The record of zero challan amount will be updated on their e-challan website.

Traffic police officials said that the process of e-challan in Noida-Greater Noida has started from April 1, 2018. Earlier, challans were made by cutting slips manually. In such a situation, challans of 17 lakh 89 thousand 463 vehicles will be canceled from the year 2018 to the end of 2021.

Police officials said that the complete record of the challan is updated on the website prepared by NIC. If she wants, she can waive the record of challan for the relevant period together, but she has left it to the state government and the districts. In such a situation, the police from the district level has started the work of reducing the challan amount to zero. This data will be updated after some time. DCP Traffic Anil Kumar Yadav says that the owners of vehicles whose challans are pending during the relevant period, should not deposit the challan amount.

Seven lakh challans have been deposited, what about them?

From April 2018 to December 2021, e-challans were issued for about 25 lakh vehicles. After the challan was issued, about seven lakh drivers have deposited their challan amount. In such a situation, depositing the challan amount early as per the rule became heavy on the pockets of about seven lakh people. If these people had waited, they too would have benefited financially.
