Traffic Challan in Delhi NCR: If you are traveling towards Delhi NCR, then it is important for you to know some things. Because due to severe pollution, the traffic police is issuing challans indiscriminately. Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is currently implemented in Delhi NCR, due to which entry of all types of construction works and pollution causing trucks is banned.

PUC’s ongoing vigorous checking

According to the data released by Delhi Police, on 12th November i.e. Sunday, 710 challans were issued for vehicles without valid PUC. Apart from this, 584 challans were issued for wrongly parking the vehicles, while 44 vehicles were pulled with the help of cranes. While 61 challans were issued for driving in the opposite direction and 263 challans were issued for those who entered the no-entry zone.

There is a fine of Rs 20,000 on these vehicles

According to the Motor Vehicle Act, trucks carrying non-essential items other than petrol/diesel in the Delhi NCR region may have to pay a fine of Rs 20,000.

Ban on BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel vehicles

Except for vehicles carrying essential goods with valid permits, the rest have been banned. Due to which, between November 3 and 12, 2,193 challans have been issued for BS3 petrol vehicles and 9,903 challans have been issued for BS4 diesel vehicles. Whereas 11,051 challans have been issued for wrong parking.

So many vehicles seized

During the ongoing investigation in Delhi NCR, 99 vehicles were seized due to lack of valid PUC and challans were issued for 12,869 vehicles. Therefore, if you plan to enter Delhi NCR region, then in such a situation it is important for you to have this information.
