There will be no punishment for breaking the traffic rule on Diwali
The Gujarat government has announced that people will not be fined for violating traffic rules during the festival of Diwali this year. Gujarat’s Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi made this announcement on Friday. Addressing a gathering, he said that in view of the festival of Diwali, the traffic police in Gujarat will not charge any fine from people violating the rules till October 27.
Relief from 21 to 27 October
Sanghvi said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the state home department has decided to provide relief to the people during Diwali. The minister said, “From October 21 to October 27, the traffic police in the state will not collect any fine from the people. If anyone is caught without a driving license or helmet during this period, or is found violating any other traffic rule, our policemen will give them flowers.
