Earlier, under the Motor Vehicle Act, the amount of fine for driving a bike or car without a driving license was Rs 500, but now it has been increased to Rs 5000. How can you make DL sitting at home?
There are two situations. If you do not have a DL, then you will have to apply for a new DL, but for this you will have to first apply for a learning license, which can be done sitting at home. But if you had a DL and it got lost, then in that case you can get a duplicate DL. But first understand how to apply for a learning license.
This is the step by step process
- First of all go to the Transport Ministry’s website sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservice/stateSelection.do
- When the website opens, first of all select your state
- If you are making a learning license, then click on the Learner License option
- Start the application through Aadhar card
- Now fill in whatever details are asked. It will have mobile number, Aadhar number and other information.
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile in the website
- Pay the fee demanded by the ministry
- Take the learning license test online
- After giving and passing the test, you will get the learning license
What to do for a permanent license?
If you have received your learning license, then now apply for a permanent license. However, for this you will have to go to the RTO. You will not get a permanent license without going to the RTO. You will have to go to the RTO and fill a form to get the license and give a physical test and after passing the test, you will also get a permanent license.
