The Government of India is becoming increasingly strict about the traffic rules and safety violations on the road. The government keeps on making changes in the 1989 Motor Vehicles Act and vehicle manufacturing guidelines to prevent road accidents. Today in this news we are going to tell about some such rules which we forget to follow, due to which you have to pay heavy fines later.
According to the Motor Vehicle Act, it is mandatory to wear a certain clothing while riding a motorcycle in India. One of these rules is to wear shoes. If you ride a motorcycle wearing slippers then you may have to face challan. For this act, the traffic police can deduct your challan up to Rs 1000. So wear shoes while riding a motorcycle. Similarly, a person sitting in the back seat of a motorcycle not wearing half pants can also be fined Rs 2,000 under the Motor Vehicles Act.
There will be a fine for getting two driving licenses
If a person is found to have two driving licenses, then that person will have to pay a fine.
Challan will be deducted for not giving way to emergency vehicles
It is the moral responsibility of every citizen to give way to any emergency service vehicle. But if anyone is found obstructing or obstructing the way of any such vehicle, he shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to Rs 10,000. Emergency vehicles include a fire brigade, ambulance, police car and others.
Follow traffic signs
Always follow the traffic signals while walking on the road. This is necessary because not following the traffic signal can lead to a major accident. Apart from this, fines can also be avoided for violating traffic signals. A fine ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 5,000 can be imposed for jumping a red light. Apart from this, punishment can also be from six months to one year.
